If everyone in arkansas is so afraid of change then why is our state a red state?

The current US administration is radically changing things towards an authoritarian type government

I know no one likes change.  Honestly, I understand because then it requires people to learn something new or be subjected to new laws or rules that they might not like at first due to uncertainty.  I just wish more people were more diligent in searching for the truth and not so afraid of technology.   Just like the printing press was scary and the telegraph to the telephone to cell phones, and even the internet was scary at first, these things have become a part of our everyday lives.
This is why a lot of these changes are done at an incremental rate like for instance the new features on modern cars.  The lane correction and brake assist are a few of the many self-driving features that automakers have brought about over a period of time.  I realize if they did them all at once people might freak out, and it might cause mass panic but did our current president not basically do the same with his tens of thousands of bits of misinformation even during his first term as president?  Also alex jones of infowars who had to pay out 1.5 billion to the sandy hook survivors who were harassed by his followers non-stop, do you see him on the any media anymore? not as far as I know.. which is a good thing because all he spread were lies and due to the pandemic people were so much more susceptible to believing these conspiracy theories.  Even my own family has believed in many of mainstream conspiracy theories like the earth being flat, the moon landing being faked, and so many more.  It's understandable when someone doesn't have access or someone in their family that's knowledgable about how many of the things on the internet work but when family that has someone like me to inform them of these things and they push me away, divide themselves, and won't listen to the most knowledgeable person in the family about the internet as a whole (not just cybersecurity), it becomes just dangerous mainly since they own a business and don't use very good safety protocols.
