I can see parallels from both of these angles with my immediate family

Why?  Why?  Why?

I'm curious, and I will not be deterred from getting answers.

 This is what I see when I try to ask them questions than need answers...

When I go to mom and dad's, dad or Chris is like Cyndie's press secretary and does all the talking while he told me he's only accountable to her, Kristen is like the only news agency allowed to talk to the president, Fox news, and somehow the most egotistical, hateful, belittling and demeaning person hides rather than answer any questions or ever have to answer for her biased skewed perspective.  Funny right? but absolutely true.

 

The next parallel is how both Pat and Chris think they are right about the bible or religion.  I see them as the Pharisee's of old times who thought they knew it all as well if you want to put it in bible terms.  They are incapable of empathy and cannot remember a single thing about anyone else other than themselves.  Or in Pat's case, who she chooses to care about, I bet even then she doens't remember much about even her own children, grandchildren, etc. and their lives and always gets her information second hand rather than calling the people she wants to know about, herself.  I'd tell her, "Pat, you have 5 fingers and a phone, and you didn't break your hand or mouth so why do you not call yourself?"  

I know this because she asked me once to go check on my youngest aunt and I did call her but I didn't report back to her at all because she needs to learn that people can change what was said or add their own bias to whatever was said instead of relaying the message exactly as it was intended.  This is the main cause of rumors and gossip and both me and my aunt learned this in the 3rd or 4th grade where a teacher had us get in a circle and she said something to one student and then had each student pass is quietly along to the next all the way around the room and when it got back to the teacher it was not even close to what was originally said.
