This is what should be kept holy on Sundays...
This is what should be done on Sundays instead of listening to a man preach about a book that very few actually do as it says..
My mother, father, grandmother and sister are doing exactly
what has created all the different denominations in the church, they all think
they are right, and it’s all behind closed doors while actually attending
church is only for show because the church should be for community engagement
and to show other’s who are suffering support.
Those who go to any church are the most judgmental people, making snap
judgments about people without even learning their stories. What church should be about is hearing the
life stories about those in need and showing them the support they need to
survive in this world. So instead of
preaching the congregations should be inviting and listening to what those people
need and you know what they would get out of helping someone like that? A new member of their congregation which, isn’t
that the point? Mainly to help other’s
but to get more people to join “their” church?
You know why that will never happen?
Because the preacher’s are more interested in spreading and speaking
about their own view of religion rather than doing like Jesus did and seeking
out those who need help the most or volunteering their time on Sunday to a
worthwhile cause that helps their “neighbors” in the community succeed. That should be what people do on Sundays,
listen to the struggles of the people that need the help the most and donate
some of their time to take actionable steps to truly help them succeed, not
judge, not talk about them, but show them genuine empathy and understanding,
that is if their truly Christians. I’ve
seen very few who actually try to embody what his message was which is
inclusivity, loving thy neighbor, (in a more global way) not killing others,
and just trying to understand someone else’s point of view rather than just
their own narrow one. Empathy,
Transparency, and Honest is what this world lacks in a major way, so let’s
bring it back into style and get out of our echo chambers, disconnect from our
devices and connect with people instead, because anyone can blame or point
fingers, it’s takes genuine care to actually take actionable steps to help others
rather than just yourselves. Don’t donate
to a charity, do actual things to help actual people, you’ll find it more
fulfilling seeing the fruits of your labor if you truly help your neighbor.
Does anyone think listening to stories out of the same book changes a person later on in life? I can tell you it doesn't, my grandmother and father are perfect examples of that, if you don't believe me go find out for yourselves......
Can you imagine how many days we have wasted collectively on listening to a man, rather than doing good works instead???
