This is to my family so they know ... exactly what they should and shouldn't do according to the book they read the most.

The Bible states that no one knows the exact time of the apocalypse or the end of the world. In the New Testament, Jesus explicitly says, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Matthew 24:36). This teaching is consistent throughout the Gospels and the Book of Revelation, emphasizing that the timing is hidden from humanity.

The Book of Revelation describes a series of dramatic events—such as wars, plagues, natural disasters, and cosmic disturbances—that will precede the end times and the return of Jesus Christ235. These include the opening of seven seals, the sounding of seven trumpets, and the pouring out of seven bowls of God’s wrath, each unleashing specific judgments on the earth1235.

However, Revelation does not provide a specific date or timetable for when these events will begin or end. Interpretations vary widely:

·         Some Christians believe these prophecies refer to future events that have not yet occurred (futurist view)4.

·         Others see them as symbolic or as events that have already taken place in history (preterist and historicist views)4.

·         The text itself warns against trying to calculate the exact time, focusing instead on being spiritually prepared6.

In summary, the Bible teaches that the apocalypse will come unexpectedly, and its timing is known only to God. The focus for believers is on faithfulness and readiness rather than prediction.

For an average Christian, faithfulness means consistently living out one’s beliefs and commitments to God in both significant and everyday actions. This involves:

·         Daily spiritual practices: Reading the Bible regularly to understand God’s will and deepen one’s relationship with Him27.

·         Obedience to God’s guidance: Listening for and following the Holy Spirit’s direction, even in small or routine matters23.

·         Prayer: Maintaining ongoing communication with God, expressing gratitude, seeking guidance, and sharing personal struggles24.

·         Consistency in daily life: Faithfulness is demonstrated not just in major decisions, but in routine tasks—being reliable, honest, and diligent in work, family, and community responsibilities156.

·         Trust and perseverance: Trusting in God’s faithfulness, remaining steadfast through challenges, and persevering even when results are not immediately visible38.

·         Serving others: Acting with humility, kindness, and a servant’s heart, reflecting God’s love in interactions with others23.

·         Accountability: Seeking wise counsel and allowing others to help keep one accountable in faith and actions2.

Faithfulness is less about grand gestures and more about steady, everyday commitment—doing what is right, honoring God in all circumstances, and relying on His strength and guidance throughout life156.

This is just to make it absolutely clear to my family what the bible says about predicting the end times and how faithfulness to god according to the bible should be done, in general.
